“Inspiration Through Motivation”
StreetfestUK was formed in 2009 as a charity to celebrate young people’s creativity, inspiration and motivation and is now one of the largest organisations of its type in the UK.
The idea for Streetfest was developed by founder Steve Young of Outdoor Events UK Ltd to encourage children and young people to become involved in street dance and arts as a means of exercise and expression. Streetfest encourages young people to come together to learn, develop and build confidence through a series of workshops and events whilst promoting an ‘inclusion for all’ ethos.
In 2010 we saw over 20,000 people enjoy the Streetfest weekends in both Weston-super-Mare & Yeovil. It covers all areas of the street trends, including break and hip-hop dancing, free-running, graffiti art and live music from local bands.
Streetfest are already half way through their 2011 events, which include Steetfest Community Festivals, Butlins Weekends and Streetfest The Tour, travelling from Southampton to Dublin.
Our acts at Streetfest range right from beginners and newcomers, all the way to World Champions and TV stars.
Streetfest is now a registered charity and is currently seeking funding to develop its projects, events and workshops on a National scale.
